Read 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
Paul urges believers to not form partnerships with unbelievers because this might weaken their Christian commitment, integrity, or standards. It would be a mismatch. Earlier, Paul had explained that this did not mean isolating oneself from unbelievers (1 Corinthians 5). Paul even urges Christians to stay with their unbelieving spouses (1 Corinthians 7). He wanted believers to be active in their witness for Christ to unbelievers but not lock themselves into personal and business relationships that could cause them to compromise their faith. Believers should do everything in their power to avoid situations that could force them to divide their loyalties.

Read 2 Corinthians 6:3-13
In everything he did, Paul always considered what his actions communicated about Jesus Christ. If you are a believer, you are a minister for God. In the course of each day, unbelievers observe you. Don’t let your careless or undisciplined actions be some person’s excuse for rejecting Christ.

Read 2 Corinthians 6:1-2
How could the Corinthian believers reject God’s message? Perhaps they were doubting Paul and his words, confused by false teachers, who taught a different message. The people heard God’s message but did not let it affect what they said and did. How often do you reject God’s message?

Read 2 Corinthians 5:11-21
Those who brag about having a spectacular ministry rather than having a sincere heart before God are false preachers, who were concerned only about getting ahead in this world. They were preaching the Gospel for money and popularity, while Paul and his companions were preaching out of concern for eternity. You can identify false preachers by finding out what really motivates them. If they are more concerned about themselves than about Christ, avoid them and their message.

Read 2 Corinthians 5:1-10
Paul contrasts our earthly body and our future resurrection body. Paul clearly states that our present body makes us groan, but when we die we will not be spirits without bodies. We will have new bodies that will be perfect for our everlasting life.
